Today is my Grandma's birthday.
Many of her birthdays were fondly spent in backyards with barbecues, fireworks and family. And, usually, matching mothers and daughters.
Searching today through pictures of her, I found this one from her birthday 13 years ago. Thirteen years!
I have no idea what was in that box, but I am certain she loved it.

It was a pair of delicate little ruby (her birthstone) tear-drop earrings which I picked out. I am now the keeper.
